Kyle Horn joined the Tero International team in 2022 as a Training Consultant. He brings more than 25 years of experience in corporate training, public speaking and entrepreneurship.
Kyle began his professional career as training and development director for a large manufacturer, designing and presenting regulatory compliance and team management training to employees in multiple states. After a decade he stepped away from his corporate career to launch an independent training consultancy, producing online training for Fortune 500 clients throughout the United States and Europe.
During this phase of his career Kyle also worked as a professional musician (guitar and vocal) and was active in competitive martial arts (black belt in Tae Kwon Do).
Kyle later sold his business and accepted a management role in the staffing and recruiting industry. While managing daily operations and overseeing hundreds of associates in the field, he created and executed marketing strategies and promoted the brand through media interviews, publishing and public speaking.
Kyle was deeply affected by the struggles of job seekers attempting to overcome barriers including disabilities, immigration challenges and criminal histories. To create more opportunities for these marginalized job seekers, he moonlighted to launch a nonprofit ("Job Honor") which soon expanded into multiple states and gained national recognition. After ten years in the staffing and recruiting industry he left his corporate career to direct the nonprofit full-time.
Kyle has presented as keynote speaker in dozens of professional conferences, at college graduations, and as a TEDx speaker. He appeared in many television and radio interviews and in national trade journals, and served as guest instructor at several colleges. His advocacy for disability employment has been nationally recognized. Locally, Kyle received an "Iowa Character Award" commendation from The Ray Center and a Distinguished Leadership Award from the Greater Des Moines Partnership. A native of Shenandoah, Iowa, Kyle was recently honored as the first "Alumnus of the Year" by the Shenandoah Education Foundation.
Kyle has served on several state and local nonprofit boards, and was appointed by Governor Reynolds to the Iowa Council on Homelessness.
In his free time Kyle and his wife, Javria, enjoy gardening, traveling, bicycling and hiking. They share a deep love of music, art, animals and nature.
Unique in the training industry, we use a team approach to most training and executive coaching. This means a diversity of trainers, a variety of trainer certifications, specialties and expertise, and small facilitator to participant ratio.
When a group of people share a common development objective, a training workshop is an excellent way to acquire skills and knowledge. What if the development goals are unique or highly individual? One-on-one coaching is a better fit.
Find an individual workshop or skill-building series designed for your people and organization. Improve communication skills, leadership capacity, selling skills, professional presence, and your overall effectiveness.
