Today's tip is a follow-up to Shannon's question yesterday about pursuing new career opportunities.
Shannon, you may choose to conduct a discrete search on your own.
With this in mind, you should seek to preserve relationships, speak kindly of the organization and remain focused on the tasks and responsibilities at your current job.
Too many people quit their jobs mentally before they quit physically and that can harm relationships and future job prospects.
Remember that the organization compensating you each pay period is doing so in exchange for hard work. Don't use company time and resources for the job search and don't let the process of making a career change adversely impact your productivity or high standards of performance.
