Successful teams meet the challenge with optimism and openness. As with most things that involve relationships, open communication is your most reliable tool.
Take time to dialogue expectations, concerns, frustrations, hopes, aspirations, and disappointments. Recognize that a single conversation is rarely enough. Address the topic openly before the transition and frequently throughout.
And remember, both team leader and team members alike are well on their way if they are open to joining a new peer group.
